I've been meaning to tell you how much I appreciated the work you did on my knee. I literally limped into your office, and then walked out after my appointment. I can't believe that I didn't call you as soon as I slipped and twisted my knee underneath me! The work you have done with my fibromyalgia and my hot flashes has been wonderful — it just didn't occur to me that you could help with a physical injury as well! Thank you so much.
When I came to see Lesli for the first time, I was a complete mess. My energy level was extremely low regardless of how much I slept, my stomach was constantly hurting, and I was feeling generally depressed. I wasn't sure what was wrong with me. I had been to many doctors and gone through a lot of testing, and they all told me I was fine; that nothing was wrong. Lesli vowed to work with me until we were able to figure out what was going on. And she did. She was the first doctor that was willing to search beyond the surface. As it turns out, I had some damage to my digestive system and had developed some food allergies which was causing chronic malnutrition. We are still working to heal my system with accupuncture and a series of probiotics and chinese herbs, but my energy level has jumped to another plane and my stomach is feeling much better. I am forever grateful.
Over the years, I have been treated by Lesli Dalaba at Capitol Hill Acupuncture for two separate conditions.The first treatment series was for shingles and the second for a heart arythmia. I have had no recurrance of either condition and attribute this to the effect that Lesli had on my general well being and lifestyle. I feel compelled to express my gratitude for the treatments that you have given me regarding my hot flashes. For some years, I began noticing the onset of uncomfortable heat, which I determined were menopausal hot flashes. They increased with intensity and frequency until I sought treatment from you. Your ability to quickly alleviate the symptoms is quite remarkable. One short acupuncture treatment and I am completely symptom-free for 6-8 months! No more waking in the night to hot flashes or feeling the heat wave over me, at some points, 3 or 4 times an hour! I was out of town this last summer for a month and in my poor planning, failed to have you treat me prior to leaving town. I was very uncomfortable until I returned and had a treatment from you. I am often amazed at how completely void of symptoms your treatments allow me to be. Thank you so much.
I was diagnosed with psoriatic spondylitis, a rare and painful type of
arthritis. Although some pharmaceutical drugs have given me periods
of relief, I can't tolerate them due to their side effects.
Under Lesli's care, my mobility has increased and I am again able to
attend regular dance workshops. Although I may never be entirely
pain-free, with acupuncture, my pain continues to gradually decrease.
I definitely recommend acupuncture for anyone searching for relief from
pain of arthritis.

The year before I discovered Lesli, I took seven courses of antibiotics for sinus infections. Then Lesli waved her magic wand (aka, acupuncture needles) and dispensed her magic potions (aka, Chinese herbs) and during the next four years I took one course of antibiotics. She has also used her wands and potions to relieve carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, night sweats and everything else that Western medicine says we're just going to have to tough out!
I have quit smoking many times before. This time was by far the easiest, and, I'm sure, the most permanent. All the stress, irritability, headaches and cravings I had to deal with the other times were practically nonexistant. Lesli helped me deal with the cravings and helped to quickly detoxify my system. I really appreciate her wholistic approach to medicine. I strongly recommend Lesli to anyone is who serious about quitting smoking.

I had shoulder and neck pain for years, punctuated regularly
by strained and pulled muscles, and even pinched nerves. I'd come
to accept that this pain was to be a part of my life, and that I'd
just have to miss work (and fun!) every so often due to the pain
of a strained muscle that would keep me from being able to hold
up my head. Friends advised acupuncture, and luckily one of them
recommended Lesli. From the very first visit, I knew she was something
special. Not only has she helped my neck and shoulders (no more
pulled muscles!), she's helped me get better sleep and have more
energy, and the information she has shared with me has steadily
increased my understanding of the connection between my mental,
emotional, and physical worlds. Aside from her medical prowess,
Lesli is one of the most genuine people I've met – what more
could you ask for in a health care provider?

If you've been struggling with fibromyalgia, I'd urge you to see Lesli. I've seen a number of accunpuncturists in the 15 years I've been dealing with this chronic condition, and no one I've seen knows better than Lesli
how to treat this illness effectively. Her acupuncture treatments are so good that I now travel 100 miles each way – from Bellingham – to have her treatments. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Lesli Dalaba's acupuncture practice for anyone suffering from allergies. I've exhibited allergic symptoms since I was a child and have been the subject of a variety of treatments by standard western medicine, focusing on a variety of drugs, most recently cortisone-based inhalers and antihistamines. The treatment with acupuncture and Chinese herbs I have experienced with Lesli have effectively controlled by allergic reactions and allowed me to stop using the variety of drugs previously prescribed. I believe that acupuncture has also contributed to an improvement in my general health and fitness. Lesli is a sensitive and perceptive practitioner, is pleasant to work with, and has a gentle, but incisive wit. I would not hesitate to recommend her for treatment of allergies, or other maladies.
I have a chronic liver disorder. Although I see a medical doctor, I
consider Lesli to be my main health care practitioner. I'm happy to say
that in spite of my illness, my health is very good. Lesli plays a
constant role in helping me to stay healthy. It's wonderful to have
someone who really cares about my long-term well-being.
I was always afraid of being needled. I'd seen different acupuncturists in the past, but had only lasted with them a few times, each time feeling very nervous about needles being inserted. With Lesli, I don't know why, but I feel totally OK about the needles. I feel very comfortable with her. She has helped me tremendously this winter with my health. I stayed healthy ALL WINTER LONG, which is very unusual for me. Finally, she always plays great music while treating me. She doesn't play the new age stuff!
